New website for MGA performing arts school

At the end of November we launched a shiney new website for The MGA Academy of Performing Arts in Edinburgh. We love working with MGA on a variety of school and production-based projects and although we all liked the old website, we decided it was definitely time for an upgrade!
We were looking to improve accessibility and make sure that all the site information was clear, easy to find and easy to read. A crucial need was to make the site fully responsive and have it working across web platforms and the many different devices through which MGA users access content.
The new site is built using the custom web package developed by Wingfinger over the last couple of years, utilises the wonderful world of WordPress, which we tailor to our clients’ specific needs and couple with a bespoke frontend design.
One of the great things about working for MGA is having such a fantastic portfolio of show photos to work with from their full-time school productions. We wanted to showcase these pictures and give them the space they deserved, without everything becoming too busy or conflicting with other graphics. The site design also aims to make sure that everything the different site visitors need is to hand and simple to reach and that the content is displayed clearly and coherently.
The site has been up for nearly a month now, and so far so good! We’ve still got a few more ongoing changes that will be implemented over future weeks but we’re overall really pleased with how the site has developed, and the reception its had from both client and users.
